ATMAA Successfully Conducts Color Belt Promotional Examination
The American Taekwon-Do Martial Arts Academy (ATMAA) successfully conducted its Color Belt Promotional Examination on September 5, 2026, under the distinguished guidance of Senior Master John Starks and Senior Master Junko Starks. Before the examination began, the ATMAA family observed a one-minute moment of silence in remembrance of those who lost their lives in the devastating floods in Nepal and in solidarity with all affected families.
Throughout the examination, students demonstrated their technical skills, physical fitness, discipline, confidence, perseverance, and knowledge of Taekwon-Do. The event reflected ATMAA’s continuing commitment to developing strong character, leadership, respect, and an indomitable spirit among its students. ATMAA organizes a Color Belt Promotional Examination every four months and a Black Belt Promotional Examination twice a year.
These regularly scheduled examinations provide students with opportunities to evaluate their progress, strengthen their skills, and advance toward their personal Taekwon-Do goals. About ATMAA The American Taekwon-Do Martial Arts Academy was founded on September 13, 2021, by Master Krishna Balal, a 7th Degree Black Belt, with the mission of promoting and expanding Taekwon-Do throughout the United States. Master Krishna Balal is also the President of the American Cooperative Taekwon-Do Institution (ACTI).
He previously served as President of the Nepal International Taekwon-Do Federation and is the Founder President of the Nepal National Martial Arts Games Confederation. The ATMAA training building was purchased through the generous support and commitment of Tika Karki and Sarala Karki. Their purpose is to support the development of Taekwon-Do and provide a permanent training center dedicated to serving children, families, and the local community.
ATMAA promotes Taekwon-Do as a way of life and a powerful tool for physical, mental, educational, and social development. The academy welcomes students of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. Upcoming 5th Anniversary Celebration ATMAA will celebrate its 5th Annual Anniversary on September 12, 2026, featuring a blood donation drive, special award ceremony, and appreciation program honoring Masters, instructors, supporters, parents, and community members who have contributed to the academy’s growth and success.
